Wallsaver 2.5.1 Released

Wallsaver 2.5.1 has been released and brings much needed support for Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard. Users are encouraged to update to v2.5.1 via the built in update mechanism, or by visiting www.wallsaverapp.com.

Wallsaver 2.5.1 also allows users to anonmyously compare their system specifications with other Wallsaver users. Usage data is available by visiting http://softwaredl.nwwnetwork.net/wallsaver_user_stats/.


NWW Network Releases MatrixSaver

Due to popular demand, NWW Network has released a Wallsaver-compatible version of the "Red Pill" Matrix-style screen saver for Mac OS X.

Users of "Red Pill" are now able to run their Matrix screen saver as their desktop backgrounds via Wallsaver with the new MatrixSaver screen saver. MatrixSaver is designed for the X11 graphics environment, installed by default in Mac OS X Leopard. Previous users of "Red Pill" were unable to run the screen saver as their desktop because of a software incompatibility betweenWallsaver, Mac OS X Leopard, and "Red Pill."

v10 Website Launch

We are pleased to announce v10 of the NWW Network website. v10 has been updated as our default site-wide layout after a 2 year reign of v9.

v10 has been completely redesigned and rewritten to guarantee a consistent viewing experience accross all modern browsers and takes better advantage of the home page to hightlight important releases and news updates. v10 also boasts a CSS-driven design, cutting down on page load times. Several advancements have also been made under the hood to allow for future integration with Google AdSense, cleaner URLs, and design upgrades.

As v10 is fresh out of internal testing, we ask that users contact us and let us know of any bugs they may notice.

The release of v10 is the final installment of a site-wide redesign and upgrade. Previously overhauled website components include the all-new Support Center v2 and the third major upgrade to our Educational Hosting program.

Educational Hosting v3 Now Accepting Applications

Students and educators are now able to apply for the revamped Educational Hosting v3 program. Applications will be reviewed by an administrator and approved on a case by case basis.

Requirements for Educational Hosting v3 are:

  • Must be a current K-12 student or educator
  • Must provide proof of student status or employment as an educator
  • Must agree to the Educatioal Hosting v3 Terms and Conditions (to be sent to approved applicants)

All Educational Hosting v3 accounts feature:

  • 1 GB storage
  • Free email support
  • Database & PHP support
  • Pre-installed content at user's request

News System Upgraded

We have upgraded our news management software to address reports of incorrect formatting and post date for users subscribed via RSS.

The old RSS feed should be automatically replaced by the correct version the next time the RSS reader refreshes its feeds. If the RSS feed is not replaced, please resubscribe using this RSS feed.
